Oh, Woe is Me!!

Here I sit, all broken hearted.....
Oh wait, that's another subject, hehe. Anyway, I bring you this post from none other than my trusty recliner, where I've pretty much been confined since Thursday.
Here I sit in my Jamaican moo-moo and my ankle socks, grunting and groaning like an old woman. My favorite things today are: Pain pills, Muscle relaxers, my trusty heating pad, and my laptop. Lifesavers all! But they all pale in comparison to my sweet husband who waits on me hand and foot, makes sure I have everything I need, never complains, and helps me laugh at my pain.
Those of you with bad backs can relate to my misery. But I've decided to make this a positive experience. So I've made a list of all the positive things this experience has brought about:
* I have had the opportunity to get a lot of work done here at home without the interruptions that the office atmosphere offers.
* I have a laptop that allows me to keep up with the "Stream" and chat with my friends, and play online poker or games, as well as the work I just mentioned.
* I am confined to the living room instead of my usual perch in the kitchen, therefore I'm afforded the eye candy of my handsome, sexy husband as he sits at his desk blogging or balancing the checkbook. Hubba Hubba!
* I have been able to locate and mentally tag each and every cobweb for later extraction.
* I don't have to chase Sugar around to take away whatever the little thief has scouted out and latched on to that she shouldn't have. I'm now the "spotter" that alerts Ice to chase her down and retrieve said object. However, since last evening's "race", Sugar has now been confined to the outdoors and the kennel (probably til I'm back on my feet, lol).
* Ice gets to witness bizarre contortions of my body as I attempt to vacate the chair and maneuver my way to the bathroom, coffee pot, or the shower.
* I'm learning to make the best use of my time, such as those times I am on my feet, i.e. getting the coffee refill, making sure I have cigs, the phone, lotion, carmex, writing tools and paper, all materials necessary for work, as well as thinking ahead to anything I might need in the near future and having them within arm's reach. It's amazing how much you can fit on two end tables, lol.
* I'm much closer to whatever playlist Ice has going at the time, so I can enjoy the music that much more, as well as watch him stop and break into a dance as he crosses the floor to or from the kitchen.
* I'm on leave from housework and cooking. (love this one!)
* I have the perfect opportunity to read a good book. But so far, I'd rather read on the Stream.
* Ice helped me clean the ceiling fan last weekend, so I DON'T have to look at that awful fuzzy grime and not be able to do anything about it.
* I'm excused from Kennel duty for the time being. I won't go into the fact that I miss spending time with the puppies since this is supposed to be positive.
* I've been able to establish that I still have ten toes and that I have fat feet, since that's mostly what I have to look at lately, lol. Lucy would be so proud, lol.
Which reminds me! I gotta get my votes in for the various "tootsie awards", lol. I gotta say a hearty THANK YOU to Lucy for keeping us all entertained with her vast array of things to do.
Lucy, your talent seems to know no boundaries and your latest creation is a big hit! Take a bow, my friend! Your imagination and sense of style are truly awesome!
Well folks, I need to end this little "party" and go see what all of you are up to on your blogs. Or maybe I'll just take a nap...ahhh that sounds wonderful. Catch you guys later!
