Life With Schnauzers

 Schnauzer Saturday

The puppies are romping and playing like little champs, so I put them out in the big yard this morning for a while to play with the bigger dogs.  Two of them will be leaving next week, so I'm trying to spend as much time with them as I can.

Ah, play time!!!

Wee three:

The little male:

The female that's sold:

And our own little "Sugar":

Oh boy!  Snack time:

Uh oh....somebody's gettin sleepy:

And sleepier.....

Well, maybe just a quick nap:

Aunt LaQuinta has to check this out...

Hey, that tickles!!!

Oh well, so much for the nap, lol.  I got a good shot of Peanut as he watched the show:

That's all folks......

 My Tuesday Thoughts

I was browsing through the comment section of The New Residencia and came across something Six said…..”the ice-ness of it all”. Those few words struck a definite cord with me and I was so pleased that what I appreciate about the man is also appreciated by others.

“Ice-ness” may be the only word in the English language to describe my husband, for he is a wonderfully complex man. And I’m truly thankful for this site that provides him the outlet to express what goes around in that remarkable brain of his. He and Colo share the same ability to stop me in my tracks by their mere words and leave me speechless, unable to express the impact of those words.

What awes me about Ice is that what he writes is more or less just flowing along with so much less effort that it would take for me. I know we aren’t all meant to be gifted in all areas and maybe the lack of that ability in me is what awes me about his. But “gift envy” aside, I’ve never known, or will ever know again, anyone as interesting or intriguing as the Iceman.

Someone once made an observation about me that I hadn’t before realized, but totally agreed with. The observation went something like: “You will never be happy trying to live with someone even mildly boring”. That observation was right on, folks. So I’ve found my perfect mate.

We’re both free spirits and restless. We both mentally fidget like wild horses trapped in a stall when it comes to anything we are expected to conform to, but also both responsible enough that we realize we must continue to fidget til the time comes that we are loosed and can run free.

And oh what a glorious day that will be when the gate finally swings open and we will frolic and play together, or just lie in the shade. But whatever we decide to do, one thing’s for sure......

.......it won't be boring!!...........

 Ahhhh....Saturday Night

It's been a busy day for us today.  Ice dug through all of last year's receipts to see if any were missed and there were plenty.  Then it was a process of getting them entered on the accounting program.  So we managed to get all that done and now Ice is studying to see what other deductions we can take.  Taxes!!!  I hate em.

Other than that, I got four dogs washed today and hosed down the back screened in porch to wash away all the winter dust and grime.  It's my favorite place this time of year, and I couldn't wait to get it all clean again.  It's about six feet off the ground, so it's almost like being in a tree house, so we sit out here alot in warm weather and eat a lot of our meals here too.  I'm out here now with the laptop.

So I'm listening to the crickets, enjoying the night air, and I have a wonderful view of Ice at his desk.  Life is good, now all I need is a fresh cup of coffee.....

I took Peanut to the groomer on Wednesday and he looks really funny now.  Since he had been shaved for two surgeries, she went ahead and cut him short all over and even made his beard really short.  Where his wounds have healed, the skin and hair came back black.  I'm not sure if it will eventually turn back to the original color or not, but that's okay.  He is completely healed now and is doing great!

So, here is the newest picture of the blogstream "Miracle Dog"

He got to thumb his nose at the other dogs today as they were getting baths one by one, lol.  He won't need a bath til next weekend, so he's a proud puppy about that.  He's just happy period and is his old self again, one hundred percent, except that he lets me pet him lots more since he got hurt.  He's such a sweet little guy!

"Tiny Bubbles" is playing on Ice's playlist.  Wow, that song takes me way back.  I learned to dance to that song in a place called the Westernaire in Lubbock Texas.  Gee, I wonder if the place is still there?  Probably not.

I'm starting to get worried that we're in for another dry year.  This is de ja vu the way the weather is doing.  Last spring, we didn't get the rains we usually get, then nothing til this Spring.  Although we got several inches of rain a couple of weeks ago, it has since stopped and none in the forecast.  I pray this isn't the beginning of another draught.

Well, I think I'll surf the stream a while and see what everybody's up to while the candle flickers and crickets sing.....

Hey, is that a whipoorwill?

Later, y'all

 Guess What?

Yeah, you guessed it.  More puppy pictures!  What can I say, I gotta keep up my blog image, right?  Besides, they're so adorable and sweet, I can't resist taking lots of pictures.  They will be four weeks old this weekend, so that means I'll only have two of them for two more weeks.....sigh.  Sugar, of course, will be staying.  So here they are folks:
