Life With Schnauzers

 Saturday

I took pictures of the puppies a while ago for prospective buyers.  I think the little one may be sold, just waiting on an email to confirm.

The Males

(The red on the foot is nail polish.  We use different colors to identify which puppy they are)

The Females (the tiny one is on the far right)

It sure makes up for a hard week just to be able to cuddle and hold each one of them.  They're so sweet!  They all have their eyes open now and are growing like little weeds!

 Friday

Here it is Friday night and I'm too tired to care, lol.  I finally got home a couple of hours ago and as soon as my butt catches up with me, I'm going to bed, so I hope it arrives soon.  I think I'm gettin too old for these 550 mile overnight trips and that big ole bed in there is sure calling my name!  But I'm glad to be home for sure.

As I was driving north on the highway yesterday, I was thinking about five years ago (to the day), Ice travelled that same highway south and I met him for the first time.  And I was thinking how glad I was that he did.  And I thought about the first time I laid eyes on him and my entire body tingled as if an electric charge passed thru.  I never knew that was possible til it happened to me.  And all I could think at the time was "damn!", as in oolala and hubba hubba all rolled into one, lol.  I was literally swept off my feet and still am.  Funny how things fall into place when you meet your perfect match.  So, as much as I hate having to drive that highway so much, I'll always appreciate it for that reason.

I see Polar Bear has issued a Friday challenge.  Hmmmm...I wonder if my worn out brain can come up with five things.  Let me think....

1.  I love chocolate ice cream with Dr. Pepper.  (yummmm)

2.  I've used the same coffee cup at work for over ten years and get really testy when somebody moves it from my desk.  It has pig butts all over it and it's adorable!

3.  I won a state (college level) competition in 1993 and got a free trip to Washington D.C. to compete nationally.  I didn't place nationally, but had a great time.

4.  My nickname in High School was "frogeyes".

5.  I'm not a fan of "orange food", such as carrots (yuk), pumpkin or sweet potato.

Not too interesting, I know.  But my brain is as tired as the rest of me, lol.

 Gone Again

Well, I'm off to the City again.  I'm in the process of burning a new cd to listen to on my journey, gotta go check on the pups, jump in the shower, pack, crank up the ole truck and away I go.....

I'll be staying at the in-laws so maybe I'll get a chance tonight to check in on the stream.  Catch you all later!

 Old Commercials

Okay, new idea!!  Ice asked me what I was talking about in my last post when I made the reference to "You asked for it, you got it.  Toyota!".  So lets see how many old commercials you guys can come up with, sentences from or slogans, etc.  One that comes to mind to me immediately is "Good stuff, Maynard" which is from an old Malt-o-Meal commercial.  Let's see how far back we can go.  This is gonna be fun!  pup

 Tuesday

Well, how is everybody?  Ugh, this color is too much.  There, how's that?  No, I don't like it either.  Hmmmm.....

Ahhh...green.  Always a good color, don't ya think?  Makes you think of spring, especially if you add a few splashes of color.  Now, where was I?

I have become a "random" house cleaner as of late.  I was just sitting here staring at the computer and all of a sudden decided I'd just clean the kitchen windows with my new squeegy.  So I did.  Then I decided to try it on the patio door, but only did half.  lol  Oh well, random is better than not at all, don't ya think?  I decided this morning before I left for work that I would just clean the light fixture above the dining room table, lol.  Hmm...maybe I'll just get in the mood to do the ceiling fan if I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.....nah!  Well, maybe.  I learned a long time ago that when it comes to cleaning, if I'm in the mood, it's best to do it then.  Otherwise the mood may be long gone later.

Prissy is in "season", so she and Buster have been treating us to the sight of them "making puppies" for the last four days!  Disgusting!  lol.  And I've been noticing that every time, after se....er...."making puppies", Prissy is extremely happy and bouncing around like a puppy herself.  lol.  I think she likes it!  Buster just struts around and goes outside to pee on everything for the umpteenth time.  Prissy gets so excited and comes to me every time, so I'm not sure if she wants recognition or a cigarette.  lol  I asked Ice if he'd ever noticed any of the other famale dogs acting like that after....well, you know.  He just looked at me seriously and said matter of factly, "Well, some women are like that".  I had to think about that for a minute.  Then I got this mental picture in my head that I'd just as soon not have, lol.  Never mind, I won't go there or I'll be up all night laughing.  It also sparked a memory of a movie I saw once.  It had Whoopie Goldberg and Ted Dansen, but I can't remember the name of the movie.  Anyway he was living with this young aerobics instructor and there was a scene where after they had se.....er you know.  She jumps up and does cartwheels all the way to the bathroom.  I wonder if her name was Prissy?  See, folks.  This is what happens when I can't think of what I want to write about and just sit down to write anyway.  Maybe I should abstain from random writings, but what the heck.  It's just a blog anyway, right?

I've been visiting Belle's blog today and have been enjoying her stories and getting to know her a little better.  Dazey is truly a'mazing' over on her blog today, lol.  I love Polar Bear's story and can't wait for another conclusion to the conclusion.  I visited Mary's blog yesterday and enjoyed that too.  Carrot seems to be getting some sleep and Topaz is as funny as ever.  I know.....I've been bad.  I hop around and read your blogs and don't leave a comment.  It's called "comment block" in my dictionary.  Sometimes I just like to read and ponder on what I've read.  Sometimes words just escape me and I can't think of what I want to say.  You've all been there, right?  Okay, now am I forgiven?

I got one meeting out of the way today, so only three more this week.  Tomorrow is our board meeting and I was asked to evaluate myself and present it tomorrow.  Oh, how I hate that!!!  Oh well, they asked for it, they got it, Toyota!  Then it's off to the city for the next two days, so I'll be ready to crash this weekend for sure.

The puppies are little butterballs and doing just great.  Well, that's about all I got to say, so I think I'll get around and get to bed.  Maybe I'll just hose down the back porch on the way.......
