Life With Schnauzers
Thursday December 1, 2005
Okie dokie, lets see if I can consolidate and condense the results of the “purse” blog:
Card Queens – Carrotcake and Dazey
The Non-primpers – Topaz , Puppy and Carrotcake (edit)
The Primper – Belle
Master Purse Changer – Lucy
Most Religious – Pie and Laurel
Most Pictures – Belle
Moneybags – Laurel
Pet Lovers – Dazey & Puppy
Oral Hygiene Queen – Dazey
Most Conservative – SarahW and Topaz
Receipt Queen - Lucy
Most Chicken (as in Scaredy Cat) – Dariana
Further observation revealed six smokers (egads), three with migraines (wow), two water carriers, and three carrying….uh…er…feminine related products.
The majority of us have our sweet tooth under control, but Dazey was carrying a coffee flavored taffy, Pie had a Reece’s PB Cup and Belle had one lonely candy corn. SarahW wanted Pie’s Reeces, so that may be void by now. Lucy was carrying an entire baggie of candy (tsk) lol
Most Unusual? Well that would have to be Colo’s cigar (she has since consumed the evidence) and Belle’s rock.
Thank you, girls for participating in my crazy but interesting survey. Amazing what you can tell about a person by the contents of their “bottomless pits”. Lol
Oh, yeah, I believe honorable mention goes to JimB and Ice for being brave enough to venture onto this blog. Way to go, guys! Wonder what’s in their wallets? lol
That was fun. J | | Posted by -Pup- at 9:52 PM -

During a quiet time of last evening, I pondered my life, or rather who I am in that life.
I believe we are all sums of all the little bits and pieces of our past, so what has influenced the “sum” of me? Factors of that total sum of “who I am now” come from heredity, which can’t be controlled. Also experiences of life of which, without a crystal ball, no one can really predict. Then there are the people, acquaintances, strangers and family that influence each and every one of us and make us who we are today…..the present subtotal.
So, then my thoughts carried me to all the many people that have influenced my life and helped shape who I am, positively or negatively, whichever that may be. Since I don’t really like to dwell on the negative relationships of my past, I zeroed in on the positive.
Upon examining and making a mental list of those wonderful folks, who are many, I realized there is one that most would not expect….my stepmother. She came along when I was eleven, providing my wonderful father the breath of fresh air and true love that he was long overdue for. I was glad for his sake and was thrilled to see him happy.
We had our share of rocky times, she and I. There were unintentional hurts both ways, but I’m glad she never gave up on me and vice versa. Maybe that happened because we both shared a very important man in our lives, only on two different levels.
Whatever the reason, she has evolved into one of the most precious friends and mentors that I could ever wish for and can only conclude that she was, and has ever since, been as much a gift from God to me as she has to Daddy.
I heard someone say once that stepmothers should have an automatic ticket to heaven. Well, since I’m sure I’ve put her through at least a little bit of hell, I would have to agree. Thank you, Lord for my stepmother….my friend, my confidant, my mentor and my role model. And help her, Lord to know that she has been a very important factor in who I am…. just by being who she is. | | Posted by -Pup- at 2:02 PM -

Well, Dazey has this uncanny way of sending my devious little pea brain into high gear. I was reading her blog and thought how neat it would be if all you women would just grab your purses and without leaving anything out, post a list of what’s in those “bottomless pits” where no man dare venture. Mine is pretty scary, let me tell ya! So I’m just gonna plunge right in. Here goes (if I fall in, someone please call 911):
jar of Carmex, a vet receipt, two nail files, cuticle nippers, mints from the Mexican restaurant (2), pen, large paper clip, cigarette lighter, some kind of roadside assistance thing that hubby gave me, key chain with 9,000 keys (lol) for home, office, truck plus a jump drive for accounting backup, check book, bottle of assorted Tylenol, Ibuprophen, and Tums, extra pack of cigs, address book, loose dollar bill, the flap off a package of inkjet photo paper (for reminder to buy), billfold with library card, drivers license, credit cards and grandkid pics, 3 loose dollar bills, Hey, there’s my ring that I had to take off before “hose job”, lol, comb, hand lotion, nose spray, another nail file, another pen, a loose 20 dollar bill, a loose 10 dollar bill, insurance card, debit card, car keys, another cigarette lighter, and a sea of change in the bottom of every pocket throughout. Whew! Not bad for a small purse, lol. Now, I think I’ll take all this money I didn’t know I had and go shopping!

Here I sit, all red-eyed and frumpy...
The chair is too hard and the bed is too lumpy.
Didn't go to work, my tummy's a'grumblin...
Food hits bottom and then starts to tumblin.
Give me the pink stuff, tablets will do...
To stop the grumblin and maybe the poo.
I'll blame it on Dazey..and Scrachomo too..
Rum soaked carrotcake simply won't do.
And Diesel's ranting about partridges in pear tree..
I giggled so hard , in my pants I did pee.
Into the night, the blogstream ran faster..
For here came the judge, although he was plastered.
Justice was served, as justice will be...
Puppy truly hopes that all are happy. :)
